Steven Schwinn is Associate Editor at John Marshall Law School. He joined John Marshall from the University of Maryland School of Law, where he joined the faculty in 2001. In 2005, he received the Clinical Legal Education Association Award of Excellence for his work as co-director of the faculty in a post-conviction case involving the innocence of a petitioner and was recognized for his volunteer work. Previously, he taught for two years at George Washington University School of Law. From 1996 to 1999, Professor Schwinn also served as Deputy General Counsel of the Peace Corps. While studying law, he was a member of the editorial board of the American University Journal of Gender & Law. He has written and lectured on a variety of legal topics. Professor Schwinn`s areas of expertise include constitutional law, negotiation, client consultation, appeal procedures, legal analysis and drafting.
