Unb Law School Requirements

The essay should be used to provide additional personal information from a selection of topics we offer, such as meaningful intellectual experience, a vision of your future goals, how you overcame barriers to performance, or how your identity, background, and experience contribute to the diversity of law school. Several factors distinguish the New Brunswick Faculty of Law from other schools in Canada. The admissions committee considers factors such as the applicant`s two-year GPA, LSAT score, and any circumstances deemed relevant. The committee has a slight preference for applicants with a connection to Saskatchewan and residents of the territories and provinces without a law school. All eligible applicants will be assessed in the “Regular” category. Applicants may also request and select an assessment in the discretionary or Aboriginal categories. Applicants must meet the minimum academic requirements to obtain a degree from an accredited Canadian university or are in their final year of four-year full-time study at an accredited Canadian or non-Canadian university. Regular Application and Admission CriteriaThe Admissions Committee evaluates applicants primarily on the basis of the combination of LSAT score and average grade (GPA). Applicants to Ontario law schools must submit their application to OLSA.

LSATs must have been drafted within the last five years. An international applicant is not required to provide proof of English proficiency if they have studied at a high school in Canada for at least 1 year and have completed at least 70% in Grade 12. English course (ENG4U / EAE4U or equivalent).
